Sweet Farm on Cane Creek, located in Fairview, NC, is only 11 miles from downtown Asheville and 15 miles from the town of Black Mountain. Sweet Farm is located just a few miles off 74A, on the way to some of the most beautiful tourist spots in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Bat Cave, Chimney Rock, and Lake Lure are found along the beautiful, curvaceous, 74A.. and the Blue Ridge Parkway is easily accessible between Asheville and Fairview.
The space
The two spacious 'Queen' bedrooms are located at the east end of the 1964 Mid-Century Rambler and offers a good bit of privacy, comfortable beds with good mattresses, and share a full bath. This wing also has access to the front entrance of the house for more privacy if desired.
Guest access
All guests have shared use of the well-appointed 'Farm Kitchen' for meals, which is located at the west (opposite) end of the house. The open living and dining areas are communal as well, and could be shared by 2 additional guests if the '1 Bedroom/1 Bath Studio' at the west end of the house is also booked. There are never more than 6 guests sharing the house at one time. Your hosts, Molly and Robear, may require access to the Farm Kitchen and pantry from time to time. We always strive to give as much privacy to guests as possible.
**We incorporate eco-conscious farming and living principles and encourage guests to do the same. Of course guests are welcome to use resources as needed to have a comfortable, relaxing, and wonderful time at Sweet Farm, however we request awareness for conservation when possible. We especially appreciate, and thank you in advance, for your efforts in turning off lights when not in use or needed for visibility and safely. **Thank you!!
Please enjoy the farm and gardens! Walk to the creek, visit the chickens, and see the shiitake mushroom log production area nearby. We love sharing our knowledge of organic farming/gardening, and the shiitake mushroom production on the farm. We may be offering some workshop "experiences" in the near future on Airbnb.
