Experience Black Mountain from this beautiful location, walking distance to downtown. We are just steps away from the Black Mountain Downtown Historic District, famous for its shops, restaurants, breweries and music venues. This charming one bedroom suite is on the upper level of the building, so there are stairs to this room. The entire town of Black Mountain is walkable, making this the perfect home base for your mountain adventure! This home is over 100 years old and presents itself as such.
Black Mountain Lodge has five units, each with a separate entrance. There are some steps up to the front porch. From there you will find the entry, where there is a stairway leading up from the front porch bringing you to Unit 4. This 704 sq ft apartment is the largest in the building. It features a bedroom and living area with hardwood floors, with lots of space to relax and unwind. Our sofa is not intended for sleeping and due to local fire ordinances, we cannot allow sleeping on the floor. The well stocked kitchen is adjacent to the the living area down a couple of steps, giving it high ceilings and a good feeling of separation from the rest of the space. Through a doorway you will find the bathroom and a private laundry room you are welcome to use. There is also a smart tv you can use to log into your streaming subscriptions.
This is a non smoking/vaping property, both indoors and outdoors.
We allow 1 well behaved pet, and if you bring them please be considerate of other groups in the building. Please no dogs that bark if you are away. Dogs must be in a crate if left alone. Keep dogs on a leash at all times when outside.
Please note that we do not have a front desk or concierge service. Staying with us will require some “self sufficiency”. You can self check in any time after 4pm and self check out any time before 10am on your day of departure. We are available during reasonable hours to address any questions or concerns, but please note that we are not a corporation and don’t have 24 hour staff. This is a very old house with gas furnaces for heat and window units for air conditioning. You may hear your neighbors. But we do ask that all guests be respectful of one another and that guests with pets, not bring barking dogs that will bother others in the house. Our address is visible for you to map prior to your booking so you can verify the location. Unfortunately we can’t offer luggage storage.
