Stunning mountain and vineyard views, beautifully landscaped grounds, organic garden, pool and bocce court. Each well-appointed cottage has living room, kitchen, bedroom with queen bed and en-suite bath.
The property is located amidst vineyards and wide-open fields studded with ancient oaks to rolling hills and dramatic mountains. Both cottages look out onto the pool with lounges for relaxing. The pool area is sunny all year, and in the warmer months, you’ll be delighted to dip in the large saltwater pool.

Cottage #1: The Creekside Cottage is a large one-bedroom cottage (860 sq. ft.) with an open-plan great room with sliding glass door that opens to the pool courtyard. Perfect for gathering, complete with 50” SMART TV for streaming music and video. If you feel like cooking, the kitchen is ready for you with a full-size refrigerator, electric range/oven and microwave oven and an island for extra prep space. Eat indoors or head out to your private patio with gas grill. Indoor and outdoor tables seat 4. The large, separate bedroom has a sitting area with an oversize chair, ottoman and a reading lamp for a quiet escape. The queen-sized bed has luxury cotton sheets, seasonal duvets, extra pillows and blankets. There are large closets and an en-suite bath with a tub-shower combination.
Cottage #2: The Guest Cottage is a 624 sq. ft. poolside cottage with a comfortable living room with spacious sectional couch for spreading out with a book or streaming a movie on 42-inch screen SMART TV. The separate eat-in kitchen has a table for 2, full-size range/oven, microwave, and refrigerator. It has a private patio with a gas grill and seating for two. The bedroom is a peaceful retreat with a queen-size pillow-top bed with luxury cotton sheets, your choice of pillows, blanket and duvets. Individual nightstands with reading lamps and storage drawers have built-in USB chargers for your phone or tablet. There is a vanity table, full-length mirror and closet. The en-suite bath features a deep soaking tub and shower combination.
Each cottage has its own dedicated high-speed WiFi network.
Each cottage has a kitchen that is fully outfitted cookware, dishes, glassware, flatware and utensils. The cabinets are filled with kitchen basics. If you would like us to pre-shop for groceries, we can make arrangements with you prior to your arrival.
You may use the common area saltwater swimming pool in season and enjoy fresh fruits and vegetables from the organic garden - we'll let you know what's available when you arrive. You are welcome to enjoy the bocce court.
Spa robes and pool towels are provided – you’ll want to pack slippers or beach sandals for walking on the gravel path to the pool. Each bath has shower gel, shampoo and conditioner and a hairdryer. There are air purifiers in each cottage.
Kenwood is a quiet hamlet on the Highway 12 Wine Trail in the Sonoma Valley, midway between the cities of Sonoma and Santa Rosa. The property is approximately 5 minutes to Glen Ellen, 20 minutes to Sonoma Plaza, 30 minutes to both central Napa Valley or Healdsburg, and one hour to the Pacific Coast at Jenner.
There are more than two dozen wineries and tasting rooms nearby, including St. Francis, Chateau St. Jean, St. Anne's Crossing, La Rochelle, VJB, Ty Caton, Muscardini, Mayo, EnGarde, Deerfield Ranch, B. Wise, Landmark, Kenwood, Kunde, and Ledson. There are many notable restaurants a short drive from the property and three Michelin star restaurants in Sonoma County.
You will need access to a car to get around.
Other things to note:
There is a narrow driveway with a parking area that requires 3-point turn and backing in. If you have a large vehicle, we will show you an alternate parking space.
Daily housekeeping is not included. If you staying longer than a week, we will provide a clean set of bed linens and towels.
There is a washer and dryer available for small loads - please note we are on a private well and septic system and there may be some limitations on using the laundry based on the day's water usage.
Cell phone service is good with most carriers.
The pool water temperature is dependent on hours of sunshine and general air temperature. Generally, the swim season is May - October.
The hot tub is not available.
We are unable to provide refunds or compensation to guests if you need to cancel outside the timeframe of our cancellation policy. * Our local power utility, PG&E, has informed us that if elevated weather conditions, including potential fire risk, threaten a portion of the electric system serving our community, it will be necessary for them to turn off electricity in the interest of public safety. This is called a Public Safety Power Shutoff. We are not responsible for these temporary shutoffs, and cannot provide alternate accommodations should this occur. We have a portable backup generator to operate the property's well pump and septic system for a few hours each day to provide water flow to cottages.
In the event of an evacuation emergency: Written evacuation instructions identifying the evacuation zone and evacuation route are posted within the vacation rental. Guests must leave the property when a Voluntary Evacuation Order is issued for the evacuation zone, per county ordinance.
We are onsite hosts, living in the main house on the property, and this is a fully permitted vacation rental. Sonoma County TOT #1402N.
