3 Bedroom Place in Swan Lake, Bethel

OUR 3 BDRM/2.5 BATH GRANVILLE PRINCE FARMHOUSE AND 8.5 ACRES TO ROAM, SCENTS TO SMELL, TIME TO LOSE...STUFF TO SOOTHE.

Nestled up a hill, our 3 bdrm/2.5 bath home basks in sunlight from sunrise to sunset. In all directions, there is an outstanding vista: pastoral with lake and red barn, woods with all the wonderful fauna and creatures it holds, and an open angle offering exquisite wide vistas of the Catskills.

We are happily, conveniently, dynamically, incredibly located on Hurd Road offering easy access (via fabulous backroads with all their character), to many local villages including Livingston Manor, Narrowsburg, Callicoon and Roscoe. Grab your bike to peddle over to the original Woodstock site and it’s wonderful museum, just a heartbeat away, right on our road. Our place is ideal every weekend, but surely convenient on concert weekends. (Check the schedule out at: bethelwoodscenter.org).

To top it off: we are very close to some of the best sparkling lakes (hook your boat right up), super spots for rapids (fly fishing) and swimming holes (cool of or skip rocks). The choice of drives are extensive and each one will be chock full of surprises from covered bridges to charming villages. Of course, choice of dining is plentiful.

Our home has 3 bdrms with the master bedroom on the main floor and 2.5 baths, a wonderful eat-in-kitchen, spacious dining room & living areas. To boot, plenty of outside seating: one just off the kitchen, one off the master bedroom and one by the screened/windowed bootroom.. While we doubt you will find time to watch tv, you have that option. We like hanging out on our bluestone patio watching what comes by, or just star gazing.

Every window offers a gorgeous view! Open your eyes to deer roaming the field and sunrise over the woods. At night, stars are so vivid, the only reason you’ll want to sleep is to be up early enough to enjoy the day. It’s a tough toss-up!

Summary: The house was immaculate and very comfortable. Incredibly close to the Woodstock Museum. The area is so serene and calming. We would stay again in the Spring.
