Summary: A 10 mile private dirt road will take you to a small collection of large and luxurious glamping tents. The privacy of the site and attentiveness of the staff will make you feel like you are a trillionaire on your private planet. A parking spot is provided in front of each tent with additional parking in front of the main building as well as EV charging. Free breakfast consist of pastries, fruit, cereal, crepes, and eggs. Lunch wraps or sandwiches are available for purchase the day prior. Dinner is available through reservations and although they are short staffed, service is quick and food is delicious and fairly elevated. There are many communal activities in the lobby such as yoga mats, fishing rods, games, and smores rods. Kayaks and life jackets are available outside for boating around the lake. There is also tetherball, volleyball, and cornhole making this resort the perfect place to stay with no shortage of things to do. The dirt and gravel roads are perfect for runs as there is no traffic. The staff lives close so there is always someone available to assist with any issues. Each tent is accessed and secured by a personal code. I honestly have no complaints other than the occasional airplane flying by and ruining the serenity of the surrounding nature & (just a suggestion) it would be a great bonus to have communal bikes available for biking down the dirt roads through the forest. Backlands is now my go-to spot to get away from the city and recharge my battery. 10/10
