Apr 2018 - Jon - "What a wonderful Airbnb experience! My wife and I spent a month here and enjoyed all the comforts of home. The house is well-designed, comfortable, spacious, private, and quiet. Located in a very nice neighborhood with widely-separated homes and respectful neighbors (we only heard birds, not people), it's a perfect Hawai'i vacation home. The indoor living space is ideal: a central, open-plan living room and adjacent kitchen with two large, comfortable bedrooms on either side. Of particular note is lighting -- skylights allow sunshine and light throughout the day, enhancing the living space. The veranda is expansive and provides a sunny and comfortable outdoor space with a wide view of the Pacific and the shoreline in the distance. This was one of the best-appointed Airbnb's I've ever visited. You name it, it's here, with everything from a complete laundry room to every kitchen item imaginable. There's even a large sewing kit and handy fire extinguisher. Julie has thought of everything. Pandemic safety: the housekeeper did an excellent job preparing the house for us. The entire home was spotless and completely disinfected and safe upon our arrival. I require reliable internet while on the road and WiFi was absolutely reliable. At times I had several devices going at once and was deeply appreciative of the fast WiFi connection -- the house is ideal for conducting business from home. Cable and television worked fine and there's a large selection of DVD's as well as board games and CD's. I recommend this home for both couples and families. For supplies, you'll be able to find everything you need a few minutes (and a very scenic) drive away in Na'alehu. As for exploring, Punalu'u black sand beach is nearby, South Point is very close, and the Kona Coast snorkel beaches are a very reasonable drive north. The house also provides an ideal base for visiting Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park. Finally, Julie was a superb hostess and was always available had we needed to contact her. Communication was excellent. We only needed to contact her once -- we enjoyed the home so much we extended our stay and Julie helped us do so. Mahalo, Julie! Book this property, you'll love it!"
