Summary: Check-in was a breeze. The host was easily accessible and stayed in contact with us. The decor is beautiful and immaculate. There was plenty of room for our whole family to be comfortable. The golf cart to get around the large property was a nice bonus. There was plenty of activity, fishing, kayaking, and paddle boating. The kids had fun playing on the sandy Beach, and wading in the river. There were beautiful views of the river from most of the rooms in the lodge. The host was readily available and answered all of our questions promptly. The kitchen was large beautifully decorated with enough seating for everyone at the large island, long side bar and large dining area. Two huge refrigerator freezers made it easy to store things, and everything was well stocked in the kitchen. The large icemaker was handy. The WiFi was greatly appreciated, as was the cool air conditioning on both levels..We especially enjoyed sitting on the deck for a lot of our meals and coffee in the morning, not to mention just watching the family activities going on. We would definitely like to visit Locust Lodge again.
