Summary: Our recent stay at this property was disappointing on multiple levels. The rooms were old, had an unpleasant mold smell. Both room sinks were clogged, and overall the accommodations felt extremely dated. With only two elevators per tower, the wait times were often five minutes or more—far from convenient. Parking was another frustration. Charging $65 per day with no self-parking option is excessive. Additionally, both of our rooms were placed directly next to the elevators. When we attempted to switch, the front desk told us that our “pay tier” only included elevator-adjacent rooms—something we’ve never heard of before. We booked through Hotels.com and are Hilton Honors members, so this explanation made even less sense. While the hotel may be family-friendly and kid-oriented, it is not suited for business travelers. One of the most concerning issues was the lack of respect for guest privacy. Engineering staff attempted to enter our rooms—despite a “Do Not Disturb” sign—because they wanted to retrofit sofas. The hotel even called to say it was fine NOT to let them in. Yet when we returned at the end of the day, someone had entered the room anyway. They even opened the bedroom door that I had intentionally closed to keep them out of that space. This should never happen. Overall, this hotel needs to prioritize guest comfort and privacy over internal operations. It is extremely dated, noisy, and not ideal for anyone traveling for business.
