("The Big Island" – we call it the BEST island because we’ve
been to all of them)!

castle, you are ohana (family) and we will treat you like
Ali'i (royalty).

to go (if you ask), cooking supplies. If we have it and you
need it, our pleasure to share. If you are looking for a
relaxed, friendly, home-style atmosphere in unusual
surroundings where we work to preserve the environment, look
no further. Step back in time and re-discover - YOU. Find
relaxation, tranquility and rejuvenation.
Our castle is a short walk to one of the best black sand beaches on
the Big Island of Hawaii where you can swim with wild dolphins
(we have on a number of occasions!) A view of migrating
whales is also possible from the castle if you visit at the
right time of year. The active volcano, natural steam vents,
lush tropical gardens & forests, majestic waterfalls, warm water
pond, champagne pond and a bottomless green lake located in a
crater, are also nearby for you to enjoy.
Historic Pahoa
Village is only a fifteen-minute drive and has a number of
highly recommended restaurants and a Natural Food Store.
On Sunday you can explore our Pahoa Farmer's Market and
find that perfect gift for yourself or your loved ones and
sample incredible food, including Huli Huli Chicken. On
Wednesday and Saturday Hilo also has a Farmer's Market where
you can experience local organic produce - including the most
exotic (and expensive) fruit imaginable - the
durian (in
season).
Natural adventures in relaxation and bodywork
abound - massage, watsu (water shiatsu), yoga. Just name it
and we have it here.
The Castle offers fresh,
clean and comfortable rooms. Each suite features local
artwork, fresh flowers, library with guide books and TV/DVD
(you may "check out" movies from our movie library).
Each suite has its own entrance, private outdoor shower,
closet, refrigerator, and a lanai with a magnificent,
breathtaking view of the ocean. We are the perfect home-base
for your tropical paradise vacation.
